BEAUTY INNOVATOR AWARD 2021

1. Live model competition

Grand Prix winners are invited to participate in the Asia Champion Final Stage, where Grand Prix winners from eight Asian countries/regions will compete.

The final stage will be held online via Zoom, taking into account the status of COVID-19 infection. Grand Prix winners will be notified separately of the details of the date and schedule of the final stage.

2. Asia Champion Award Ceremony

The Asia Champion will be announced and awarded at BEAUTY CONGRESS 2022, a beauty event hosted by Shiseido Professional brand.
BEAUTY CONGRESS 2022 will be held as an online event this fall. Details including the schedule and program will be announced on the official Shiseido Professional brand’s website and social media account around June.

Key points of model evaluation

• Overall aesthetic balance of the hair and costume, as well as degree of perfection as a creative piece
• Freshness, trendiness, and balance of the hair design
• Technical expression of textures and details
• Whether the hair design and makeup suit the model

Art Creation Category – competition requirements

• The hairstyle can be of any genre such as a cut style or up-do.
• The use of hair pieces, extensions, and accessories is permitted.
• However, submissions will be disqualified if the entire head is covered by anything other than hair, such as a hat, wires, wool, or straw.
• The hairstyle and model presented in the final stage do not have to be identical to the entrant’s photograph submission.
• The use of supporting members is permitted during prep work for the final stage (such as makeup).

Real Creation Category – competition requirements

• Entrants are required to develop a cut & color style using the model’s natural hair. (Use of wigs, hair pieces, extensions or hair accessories will not be permitted.)
• Entrants will be asked to dye the model’s hair before the competition, and only demonstrate cut and styling techniques on the day.
• Model’s hair must be colored using only Shiseido Professional brand’s hair color products. (Use of color products other than Shiseido Professional brand will not be permitted.)
• The hairstyle and model presented in the final stage do not have to be identical to the entrant’s photograph submission.
• The use of supporting members is permitted during prep work for the final stage (such as makeup).

2. Invitation to the BEAUTY INNOVATOR AWARD 2021 award ceremony, a part of BEAUTY CONGRESS 2022 (to be held online this fall), a beauty event hosted by Shiseido Professional brand.
3. Invitation to Tokyo Collection (scheduled for 2023)
4. Personalized hair creation & photo shoot with SABFA, Shiseido (Scheduled for 2023)The awardee will participate in a photo shoot seminar hosted by Shiseido Professional brand to create a hairstyle on a model with advice from a SABFA instructor. This will be followed by a photo shoot session by a professional photographer.
